Matteo Pugliese

Souls was an anthological exhibition devoted to the work of Matteo Pugliese, an Italian artist born in Milan in 1969.

With around forty works, it covered twenty years of the artist's career through his two most important series: the Extra Moenia, his famous figures straining to break free from the wall, and the Guardians, who answer the restlessness of the Extra Moenia with a promise of safety and protection.

Among the works on show — in both its bronze and marble editions — was The Secret, practically unobtainable and the artist's most iconic piece.
